I am a painter, sculptor, and arts educator who lives in Portland, Oregon. I received my bachelor’s degrees in painting and in art history from the University of Washington, followed by an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I have been a member of Blackfish Gallery in Portland since 2004. My first novel, ‘The Old Lonesome’, was published in 2006.

Here I’m pictured doing one of my favorite activities: removing barbed wire fencing at Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge.
